Family Create & Connect: Colour Bloom - Fluid Alcohol Ink Bowls. Saturday, 30 January 10:00 – 12:00.

Celebrate the final weekend of summer holidays by creating something truly luminous together! Our Family Create & Connect alcohol ink masterclass is a joyful, relaxed creative experience designed for an adult and child to explore modern fluid art.

Alcohol inks produce intense, stained-glass effects that cannot be matched by standard acrylic paints. In this guided 2-hour session, you and your child will discover how inks bloom, blend, and ripple across smooth ceramic and glass surfaces. Using dedicated squeeze air blowers, blending solutions, and metallic leafing inks, you will guide swirling ribbons of ocean turquoise, warm sunset tones, and shimmering gold veins to create two matching decorative statement bowls. Perfect for holding jewellery, keys, or desk treasures, these handcrafted pieces make a colourful addition to any home.

Techniques Explored:

• Understanding ink viscosities, evaporation rates, and transparent colour-layering.
• Guiding fluid patterns with air manipulation rather than brushes.
• Creating delicate metallic veining and bloom rings.
• Sealing non-porous homewares for long-lasting gloss and durability.
