Bloom Creative Club - Weekly Classes for Home-ed Children ages 6-12 (Term 1 2027)

An artisan-led, tactile studio space for young makers to slow down, explore, and create with intention.

Bloom Creative Club offers weekly term-based studio sessions run exclusively during regular daytime school hours, created intentionally for home-educating families.

Born from a desire to fill a long-standing gap in the Kingborough area, our program brings affordable, engaging, and dedicated creative enrichment right to our local community. We know home-ed families are looking for practical, high-value visual arts that fit seamlessly into their daytime learning rhythm without the rush of after-school traffic. We step away from repetitive worksheets, rigid desks, and disposable paper crafts. Instead, young makers dive into real three-dimensional design—exploring smooth eco-casting, sculptural clays, expressive painting, and sensory-rich mediums in a space that is social, relaxed, and genuinely fun.

The Studio Experience

Every child creates, focuses, and unwinds differently. Our daytime sessions are run with a sensory-aware, neuro-affirming approach, ensuring every maker feels comfortable, capable, and free to explore at their own pace.

• Space to Move & Breathe: We don’t expect kids to sit frozen on chairs. Standing while creating, moving between work stations, or shifting posture is completely natural here.

• A Calm, Regulated Environment: By strictly capping our cohort numbers, we protect the room from sensory overwhelm. The space stays peaceful, focused, and quiet enough for unhurried thought.

• Grounding Tactile Engagement: Working with physical, weighted materials gives young hands the proprioceptive feedback they crave, naturally settling busy nervous systems and anchoring concentration.

• Supportive, Side-by-Side Mentoring: We work alongside students as friendly creative guides rather than lecturing from a whiteboard—nurturing experimentation, peer connection, and autonomy with zero judgment.

What We Make & Explore

Learning design skills should feel like intuitive play, curiosity, and creative freedom. Without realizing they are building foundational STEM, motor, and design skills, kids absorb real techniques through hands-on making:

• Sculpting & Shaping with Clay: Squeezing, pinching, rolling, and smoothing air-dry and sculptural clays provides deep proprioceptive pressure that grounds and regulates emotional energy. At the same time, manipulating fine tools builds the finger strength, bilateral coordination, and spatial awareness essential for fine-motor control.

• The Science & Art of Eco-Casting: Eco-casting introduces makers to real material transformation. Children explore practical measuring, ratio balancing, and fluid dynamics as they pigment and pour mineral composites—learning the patience of the curing process and discovering how liquid compounds set into cool, stone-like functional objects.

• Sound, Memory & Expressive Paint: We tap into how music shapes our inner worlds. In dedicated expressive sessions, students listen to contrasting pieces of music—noticing shifts in tempo, rhythm, and mood—and intuitively paint the emotions, memories, and textures the sounds evoke, building emotional literacy through color and stroke.

• Color, Form & Balance by Intuition: Discovering how hues interact and how three-dimensional shapes balance through playful trial, error, and personal choice.

• Lasting, Functional Keepsakes: Everything made is built to endure. Students take home functional trays, vessels, sculpted objects, and tactile artworks they are genuinely proud to display, use, or gift.

Daytime Schedule & Session Details

Investment & Community Affordability

We believe comprehensive arts education should be accessible, practical, and transparent. All artist-grade composites, clays, pigments, sealers, and tools are provided—no hidden supply fees or shopping lists.

• Weekly Equivalent: $29.50 per session (Under $30/week for comprehensive studio materials, mentoring, and takeaway pieces)

• Full Term (10 Weeks): $295 all-inclusive (Pro-rata for <10 weeks)

• Sibling Reductions: 10% off for your second child; 15% off for your third child (selected at checkout).

• Payment Flexibility: Split instalment plans available at checkout.

Parent Helper Community (Term Rebate)

We reserve a small number of Parent Helper places each term for parents who would love to be hands-on in our community rhythm.

• The Role: Support our lead artisan with material prep, tool distribution, and providing an encouraging, warm extra set of hands during studio projects.

• The Rebate: In appreciation of your consistent weekly help across the term, you will receive a 20% tuition rebate (Valid for a single child enrolment), credited back to your original payment method.

• To Express Interest: Simply select the Parent Helper box when submitting your expression of interest. (A current Working with Vulnerable People / WWVP registration is required).

Enrolment & Expressions of Interest

• Vote on Daytime Hours: Because we are locking in our Kingborough venue and timetable, submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) lets you share your preferred weekday morning or early afternoon timeslot. breatheandbloomdesign.com.au/academny

• Personalized Intake: Once dates are confirmed, a brief intake form allows you to share your child’s sensory preferences, comfort needs, or interests so we can set up the studio thoughtfully for them.

• Absences & Illness: If your child misses a session due to illness, fees are credited toward our school holiday artisan workshops or future studio terms.
