About the Space

Welcome to our creative home! Located right in the heart of Kingston Beach, KIN Creative Space (situated at the rear of the Kingston Beach Hall, 20 Beach Rd) serves as the primary physical base for The Artisan Academy and our hands-on community workshops.

Why KIN Creative Space is Perfect for Our Academy & Clients

  • Designed for Makers & Learners: KIN provides an ideal, inspiring environment tailored for tactile, screen-free creating—giving us ample room for workshop tables, maker stations, and safe student seating.
  • A Connected Community Hub: Positioned right by the coast, it features an attached covered verandah and outdoor courtyard where parents can mingle, enjoy the kitchenette, or take a quick 100-meter stroll to local Kingston Beach cafes.
  • Fully Accessible & Welcoming: The space offers fully accessible ramped rear entry and DDA-compliant facilities, ensuring every maker of any ability feels comfortable and welcome.
  • Imbued with Local Charm: Surrounded by the natural beauty of southern Tasmania, it’s the perfect backdrop for exploring craft, community, and creativity together.

Venue Availability Note

While KIN Creative Space is our primary home for all term classes and holiday programs, should the space occasionally be unavailable due to prior bookings or council scheduling, we seamlessly utilize alternative Kingborough spaces—such as the Taroona Community Hall (6 Batchelor Way, Taroona)—to ensure our schedule always runs smoothly without interruption.
